Maple Teriyaki Chicken Wings

BBQ – Chicken Wings – Maple Teriyaki

Salty, sweet, caramelized. There's only a brief window where sugaring season overlaps with grilling season – make the most of it.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs of chicken wings or legs
Maple Teriyaki Sauce:
  • 240 g dark maple syrup
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 80 g soy sauce
  • 80 g teriyaki sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Minced onion
  • 1 Pinch of cayenne pepper and black pepper

Method
 

Sauce:
  1. Mix well. Simmer in a skillet for 10 minutes to thicken
Wings:
  1. Grill until almost done, about 20 minutes
  2. Toss in sauce
  3. Return to grill for another 5 minutes, flipping frequently (and spoon on more sauce as delicious)
